From July 13th to July 20th, Mr. Liudong, head of Air China E-Commerce, Dr. Michael Hanke, E-Commerce Consultant and Mr. Hu Fajin, Director of E-Commerce, paid visits to the Shanghai Base, the Guangzhou Base, the North China Regional Sales Center and the Southwest China Regional Sales Center to conduct e-commerce trainings. Over 300 people including the executives of the Bases and Regional Sales Centers, General Managers, Sales Managers and frontline staff in the local sales offices attended the training courses and the e-commerce kick-off meetings. At the training site, Managing Director Liu Dong, Dr. Michael Hanke and Director Hu Fajin, delivered a comprehensive introduction of the concept, significance and functionality of the e-commerce strategy. They also explained the e-commerce goals and action plans from the perspectives of strategy and operational instructions. It is the first time executives and frontline staff were trained on e-commerce. The results were very positive and have helped in harmonizing understanding and clarifying the direction for future development of e-commerce at Air China. After the kick-off meetings, each location immediately set up e-commerce leadership groups and appointed a designated person to be the liaison with Air China’s headquarters to accelerate the e-commerce work. The E-Commerce activities of Air China have officially commenced. |
