Air China Olympic Slogan Unveiled, Youth Volunteers Action Unified

The Olympic Slogan of Air China Limited was formally unveiled at ten o’clock on August 8th along with a group of doves soaring to the sky from the foot of the Great Wall. The Olympic Slogan of Air China “Carrying the Olympics, Flying Your Dreams” was unveiled and shouted out by the Air China employees at the one year countdown of the Olympic Games. On the same day, a variety of youth volunteer activities were held in other branches and subsidiary companies of Air China. A total of 562 Olympic volunteers enrolled by Air China will be devoted to collectively serving the Olympics.

The Olympic Slogan of “Carrying the Olympics, Flying Your Dreams” was carefully selected by experts from over 1,000 slogans submitted by Air China employees from both China and abroad. Based on the understanding of the Olympic spirit and in conjunction with Air China’s corporate philosophy, the slogan expresses the happiness that the Air China people feel by giving wings to the Olympics by carrying people all over the world to the Olympic Games. It also conveys the bold and generous passion of the Air China employees to make the dreams of Chinese people as well as people all over the world come true.

As the sole airline partner of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Air China makes it an obligatory responsibility to serve the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games with high-level services. Air China is taking the opportunity as the flagship carrier of the Olympic Games to build with the company a youthful culture of “Love Air China, Loyal to Air China, and Devote to Air China. By initiating the youth volunteer activities, Air China encourages youth volunteers to be dedicated to their jobs and to serve Air China and the Olympics by enhancing their service skills and experiences. So far 11 employees of Air China have been honored as the volunteer drivers for the Beijing Olympic Games and on behalf of Air China, they will participate in the volunteering services for the Beijing Olympic Games.

The Vice Party Secretary of Air China, Mr. Liu Peizhi, the Director of Corporate Culture, Mr. Gao Bangzhu and the Secretary-General of Air China Olympics Working Committee, Mdm. Zhang Chunzhi have all delivered speeches at the Air China Olympic Slogan Unveiling Ceremony. This shows Air China’s commitment to fulfilling the responsibilities as an Olympic partner and to better serve the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
